Copter X v2 - RC Helicopter at its best...

This is a nice electric heli, for an rc enthusiasts like me, setups like this makes me ummmm..., it is a Copter X with a mod canopy. This heli is owned by Omar Martinez (my bro) who is currently living in New Jersey. He is definitely not a newbie compared to my skills. I'm still using a co-axial helicopter :-(

I think I will move to rc airplane instead, heli hobby is not cheap to maintain. A good one could cost you a minimum of 10k, while a good fixed wing is only around 5k.

Friday na, uwi na muna ng Laguna after a week of working in Batangas. Kailangang magpagaso, half full na lang ang tank.

So nagpunta ako sa Shell, got 1000 pesos. May offer sila, mag VPower and for a minimum of 500 pesos you can buy a cool key chain for 49 pesos. Napagasolina ko lang ay 986, so isa lang ang nabili ko.

But what amazed me is nung pabalik na ako sa Batangas and tried to buy VPower in Shell (on the way to Tiaong Quezon), they are not selling VPower, so the option is just the plain Unleaded, but they will sell all the 6 keychain even if i will only purchase 500 pesos worth of gasoline. Pwede pala yun? Ok ah, kaya lang may catch, kasi pag unleaded lang eh 99 pesos each, malulugi ako ng 250, (250 lang kasi 5 na lang dapat ang bibilhin ko). Wag na lang... sayang din yung mga 5 Liters din of gasoline :-)

Project Management Tips

It's been 4 years since I started working as a Team Manager in Virtify Philippines. For those who wonder the difference between TM and a Project Manager, a Team Manager handles 2 to 3 projects concurrently. Anyway, here are some tips that might help newbies or aspiring employees in this kind of position.

1. The main responsibility of the team manager is to deliver the project on time with the resources that he/she have. TM must always try to provide a clear view of what is the projects current status, and in addition must communicate any issues that might arise.
2. You are the primary contact person for the project, so always frequently check your email. In addition, you need to make sure the client knows that you have received it, and that you respond accordingly. If you cannot answer the question/message immediately and you still need to discuss this with the team, then respond when you will be able to send your response. :-)
3. In starting a project, always try to know what are the things you need.., requirements (does the team clearly understand it?) Anything missing, that you need to know?
4. Do a daily Stand-Up Meeting, this will keep all members of the team in-the-loop of what's happening.
5. Reward a members effort, a simple thank you will go a long way...
6. Be fair

Software as a Service (SaaS)

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software distribution model in which applications are hosted by a vendor or service provider and made available to customers over a network, typically the Internet.

SaaS is becoming an increasingly prevalent delivery model as underlying technologies that support Web services and service-oriented architecture (SOA) mature and new developmental approaches, such as Ajax, become popular. Meanwhile, broadband service has become increasingly available to support user access from more areas around the world.

SaaS is closely related to the ASP (application service provider) and On Demand Computing software delivery models. IDC identifies two slightly different delivery models for SaaS.
